NEW ACCOUNT. The person creating the mvoptimist.com user account is the Primary Account Owner. The Username is typically not an email address, as that is specified within the account definition. The Primary Account Owner is automatically eligible to be a Volunteer. An Account Co-Owner can be added after the user account is created (via the My Account, System Settings option). VOLUNTEERING. Volunteers can be either the primary user account holder, an account co-owner, or can be defined during the participant's Program Registration in the Volunteer step as Add an Account User. PROGRAM PARTICIPATION. All persons who plan to register for a Program (club sport, Optimist International membership) must be defined as an account Participant before the system will display their name as being eligible for any programs. This would be children for a club sport, and an adult for non-sport (e.g., Optimist International membership). Account Primary Owner, Co-Owners are not automatically defined as a Participant. To add an account participant (subject to revision): . Access your user account home page. . Click on the 'Register Now' button displayed at the upper right hand corner. . A Program Information screen should display and the small lined emblem for Participants will display into which adding Participants is possible.
